Post subject: | 7/8/2013 EFGT [88%] The Trolls [40%] The Dead [0%] and more! |
Hello everyone! My name is Wiirgy and I have always been interested in lore of fantasy worlds but most of all LoTR. When I was younger my mom bought me some miniatures of LoTR and Warhammer Fantasy but I never really got hooked. Now a few years later I have refound this awesome hobby and bought myself some colours, EFGT and a few other miniatures I thought looked cool. I will be posting ALL of my work here on this thread. There is not much I can show you right now (on an iPad) but I will upload the stuff I have done the last two weeks later today. I'm hoping to make some new friends and get valuable tips & tricks on how to improve! Yours, Wiirgy |

That conversion for Alatar is awesome I think the Balrog deserved more red and flame-like appearance instead of mainly black but well painted Good luck with Azog he is looking very cool |

All of the characters look much darker on the pictures than they really are. The Goblin Kings eyes were my first attempt at eyes but I wanted to make them a little more wolf like (Yellow/Brownish) he is still not quite done yet, have some small details that I have missed, like his crown :| Not sure why the images look like that, maybe Dropbox is not the best "image host" but I am on vacation atm so that was the only way I could upload them. If anyone knows how to fix this, throw me a PM. Best Wishes, Wiirgy |

Azog is nearing completion. Things I need to do is small details like the eyes and his base. My old Citadel Fine Detail brush is wearing out, anyone got any tips on good allround brushes/fine detail it would be awesome if you could link me em'. Enough Talking, here is Azog in his current state. |

Army Painter brushes are fairly good. I was also thinking of doing an azog based on a berserker. Hope it turns out well. |

Very happy how he turned out except for his blue eyes which was tricky to make. I picked up 2 Winsor & Newton brushes from my art store one size 2 and one size 0. They we're about 3 dollars each and I'm very happy with them so far. Here is his eyes done, not sure how I'm gonna do his base.. tips? Azog 90%: I took a break to test my new brushes when doing eyes so here is Ori (also not based yet): I also pulled the trigger on these trolls.. its alot of money but I just couldn't hold it xD. These will be my reward for painting all of the EFGT goblins: |

As there was nothing I could do to Oris or Azogs base right now (I forgot to bring my PVA glue) I decided to paint Gandalf! Painted him a lil darker than GW did but it didn't turn out as well I wanted to. Still, I'm quite happy with him! ^^ Also not based, obviously |

Hello! In search for something to do I decided I wanted to do something with all the plastic sprues I have. As I plan on using Moria Goblin Archers for my goblin town army I decided that they needed something elevated to stand on so I started building a small platform! What I did was cut out strips of plastic that I then carved to look like wood, I then simply glued it together with plastic glue! Heres some photos: (its still undone and unpainted) Close Up: Azog, Gandalf and Ori standing on the platform: |

The Sprue terrain looks really effective for Goblin Town. |

Sticky Fingersss wrote: The Sprue terrain looks really effective for Goblin Town. Thanks mate! I think I really captured the look of Goblin "architecture". Gonna make a separate ramp for it as well and probably some other expansions for it to make it as modular as possible. I suggest everyone looking to expand their Goblin Town scenery to try this out! |

As forAzog and Oris, how about basing them with a Moria theme? Some stone slabs for the floor ? |
