I never liked the green that GW uses for Arnor, so I decided to go a different route. I've got two different units here and I like this color a lot better.

Very nice! I like how you've distinguished the units with different coloured headbands!

They look rather good in blue! decent paint job too :yay:

As has been said in your other WIP threads could you perhaps unite all of your WiP's in one thread :)

I prefer the ones with the orange tourban. I like their banner bearer a lot. Will you also paint Malbeth and Arvendui?

As the Slth says, can you please keep them all in ONE thread?

I like the blie colour choice, and also the alternatng head band and feathers to differentiate two groups. Really well thought out and executed. That blue is a bit bright and warhammerish/dol amrothish imo.

What's the big deal about having to combine all of my different posts?
I prefer it this way. I dislike having to go though 19 pages of a WIP just to see what I was looking for. It makes it easier to search for a specific post.

So, no I am not combining evereything into one big post. I find it annoying
to have to look through page after page. I like this way better.

Thats selfish. If you keep this up then the first page will be dominated by your many threads meaning other peoples WIPS will be bumped onto the second page. Every one here deserves equal opportunity to display their work and get feedback on it, but that is just not going to happen with you constantly spawning new threads all over the place.

You don't have to like it, but could you please respect the other users and do what they are asking?

I agree with Samoht.

If you get annoyed at having to look through tons of pages then you could perhaps organize your WiP's well, using a method such as in ChrisGOM's WiP.

I agree, its much more "annoying" for us if you have hundreds of really short WIPs that take up so much of the WIP topic area.

It may even be wasting board space. Correct me if I'm wrong on this part.

Not to mention that all of your WiP's so far have only had one post of pictures...

I don't mean to critisize your work (I rather like your Arnor chappies), only your method of posting

:)

I just look under the 'view new posts' tab whenever I come on, and put up all the posts I'm interested in in tabs. So, the "taking up space on the first page of the wips" thing really doesn't affect me. However, it is nice to be able to see all your work together, it's easier to remember who's doing what, and easier to comment on.

And besides, I find it easier to find my one wip thread than having to search for two or three....In the end there isn't a rule against multiple wip threads going at once, but you should at least consider it for the aformentioned reasons. :)

What nonsense. There are 30 slots on the first page. I have 3 of them. By tomorrow it will be down to 2 and the day after that they will have fallen off the front page forever. Hardly "spawning new threads all over the place".
Besisde is it such heartache to click on another page if you want to see what's on page 2?

Do what the guy above does and use the New Posts button if it bothers you.

Or you could just add them to a gallery since none of them are actual WIPs, but rather completely painted models. I don't understand why you feel entitled to do things differently. Its not that you only have three, its that your two extra on this occasion bumped two others off the front page. I find it extremely self centered of you and prideful. Your work is nice but you'd probably get even more feedback if you were respectful of others and the way things work around here.

No, lad the figures are not finished. I haven't finished flocking the Arnor figures and the other two nned flags and captains. Not to mention that I have to finish the bases. When they are finished I'll happily announce it.

As for the nonsene about about having to conform to the Ruling Party's wishes, I'll speak no more of it. It's not against the rules. If the Mod wishes to contact me, he can. If not, C'est la Vie.

Hm.. your work is as good as you are stubborn. Unfortunately..

It was a tragic day. The friendly users of OneRing tried multiple times to reason with him, but the naughty little boy just bit his thumb at them and said "NO". And from that day onward, Nevinsrip would be forever known as 'THE STUBBORN LITTLE CARROT'. And they all tolerated him from then on after. THE END.

Short story written by Samoht.

I don't really care either way but what I will say is that I like your work and it would make it a lot easier for me, and everyone else, to see more of it if it was contained in one thread. You'd get more feedback and less moaning so you'd benefit too. Like I said, do what you want, but think about the possible benefits of having one WIP.

I don't put stuff up here looking for feedback. I've already done what I intended to do, so feedback is not really my reason for showing what I've done.
I do it so that someone else might get an inspiration or idea from what I've done and take it to another level. Or perhaps thay just want to copy my idea and/or improve upon it. Either way, it's all good with me.

I really get a kick out of how distraught some of these people are over where something is posted on a forum about playing with toys. Perhaps they need to get out more.

No, its just basic forum etiquette. There are enough new threads for people to trawl through without you adding yet more clutter with unnecessary threads when one Thread will suffice. Please, for gods sake, make ONE thread and update it by adding new images of finished projects to the first post.

You're being stubborn and petulant.

If the reason why you do this is to inspire other people then you must realise that your tiny threads are going to disappear forever within a few days (which you alluded to yourself a few posts back). That's hardly giving them any time to inspire other people. Your work will be constantly visible to other people if you keep it all in one thread. Then people will be constantly inspired by your work, which according to you is why you do this.

So I must ask you Nevinsrip, do you want to inspire people on this forum?
Well we already know the answer is YES, so I'm just telling you that the most efficient way of doing that is by having a single WIP thread to compile your work into.
