I am almost done with these.
Tusks are left, and some decorative gold on the Kings.
These are my most recent attempts to paint carefully but not exacting every detail. There is a lot to be said to let the model "speak for itself".

I have to reshoot this set and I'll arrange them differently so you can get in on the details more.

The best Mahud I have seen, love the flesh.
The only thing I would say is that they would be even better if you based them.

yeah, I just read the guy's posting on his Haradrim. I like the idea of basing with the GW sand, then painting over it to get a more unique look. I have that painting guide printed up in my records.

I dont use sand as its to large, would you believe. I use a Hornby train set scenery grit which is much smaller and gives a more realistic finish

I was scrolling through the Tomes of Wisdom and found that comment. Found here kb.php?a=38 It really is a terrific article. I used the GW sand on my Warriors of MT, and thought it looked pretty good. But I am still, IMHO, a novice with much to learn. I am going to think about this a lot before I complete these models.
