I haven't done a WIP before. I tend to work until done once I start on a project. I've been away from painting for nearly three years now. I just got burned out I guess.
Anyway, I wanted to add some Dunland figures to my Isengard army and the limited number of available models had me looking elsewere (from GW). I'm not creative, or skilled enough, to do conversions. I found great figs from Foundry, Gripping Beast and Black Tree Design. This is where I wound up after starting.

So in addition to 90+ silver guys that are close to being stuck on bases and given arms and armor, I have another 90+ guys that are primed and ready to go.

Here is the first eight guys since my long hiatus.

Painting took a long time with these guys as I had to try and bring back to life each and every pot of paint, wash and ink! They turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. I will still have to base of course. I cannot figure out what to do about the shields and banner yet, but I will soon.

Okay, eight down, sixty or seventy more to go! Next eight get up here!

I can see some of these guys definitely doing double time as Barbarians of Carn Dum for an Angmar army if ever SBG stats are produced.

Nice stuff, it's a shame that dunland is just another one of those 'meh' armies with nothing special enough about it for people to buy the metal models. I'm guessing Thrydan will arrive soon?

Some of those miniatures look fantastic, quite the horde you have there.
