Would it be possible to see a bigger picture? I can't really make out the detail as is. |

Very nice collection of conversions and scratch builds you've got there. I really like the Fell beast and Watcher, the Mumak is some piece too and Gulavhar, he's deadly looking with those colours, great stuff. |

Thanks for the replies guys. to answer Quendil yes they are stargate sg1 and I am using the serpent and hawk guard as Castellans of Umbar Black numenoreans and the chariots is egyptian in style to fit in with that idea As for the elf on foot conversion that is Thranduil, don't get me wrong I wanted to buy the official model but lack of cash. Anyway I will try to make my next pics full size on this page as opposed to clicky as they are now |

Really cool to see your work come to the public light, I'm loving the Stargate project, on your blog the actual Stargate too. Its great to see my favourite T.V show come to the tabletop world. |

Great sculpting and conversion skills there - you should enter some of the competitions! Stargate - I have ALL of the SG-1 series and SG Atlantis. There is action, suspense, fear, and a tongue-in-cheek aspect to it, often involving O'Neill but other characters too (notably McKay). I have not seen any of Universe - maybe next year. Back to Middle-earth - keep up the good work! |

Maybe youre better off making that Howdah cloth out of balsawood and creating the details and smoothing out the seams with greenstuff, but overall amazing stuff man! |

thanks for the input guys, with the hobbit prices making a trip to the moon seems I won't be getting any new models from gw, which in turn means massive number crunching on my current backlog, so keep tuned as there will be more wip pics coming up, and I will post pics of models which are finished to show what my vision of the models is |

Post subject: | Re: Grungehog's WIP update 16/1/13 Mumak number 3 |
I really love that Mumak - both the sculpting in particular and the painting. it should stand out nicely. Two small qualms: 1. the green and red paintjob makes him look Christmassy and 2. I think when sculpting the tusks you should have made one of them broken so it looked likre he's more battleworn. All in all spectacular though |

The OSL is perfect, never though to do shadows on the ground of my models. Very tempted to now though, just don't want to ruin it!! |

Post subject: | Re: Grungehog's WIP update 16/1/13 Mumak number 3 |
Nie Taskmaster, well done. I see on the Mumak then, still an amazing job on it. I;m pretty sure elephants can survive a certain degree of broken tusk, some indidviduals are stronger than others, but I get it, and your sculpted tusk does certainly look an excat replica of the other one, so nice skills. |
