Stumbled across this concept art for the movies whilst googling 'Eomer shield', as the mounted SBG version of Eomer seems to be BEGGING for one. Have started work on a similar shield, using the design as inspiration. Has anyone else undertaken a similar project? |

Not only the mounted version. I mean, just look at those models... those left arms are in perfect pose for a shield. And of course you want to protect your valuable heroes as much as you can |

It is a real shame that GW don't sell bits any more. I picked up an extra Erkenbrand shield when he was first released with the intention of giving it to Eomer. I also picked up a Moria Goblin shield for my captain, although plastic goblin shields are easily to get hold of. You could try keeping an eye on eBay, I picked up a spare Eorl shield to replace the one I lost for my Son of Eorl. |

I started sculpting it last night but it was so frustrating and fiddly! I kept squashing the parts I'd painstakingly filed down stupid fat hands! And thanks for the hint, Farmer Maggot, I'll keep a look out on ebay, only problem is, I live in Switzerland and postage here costs a small fortune! Swiss ebay is practically non-existant too |

WF regiments come with loads of bits. Maybe you know someone who might have some suitable shields for you. |

So I gave up on the shield I showed above. Sculpting shields is a fiddly nightmare! However, I tried some freehand based on a Rohan shield I found on Google and this is what Eomer's shield looks like now: I'm gonna attach it to my converted Eomer ASAP, woohoo! |
