Neat painting, funny you have weak Goblin Warriors with the elite Goblin Heroes. |

I bought the heroes second handed . Indeed they are quit useless in a battle without Gundabad warriors |

I didn't post in a while, had it quite busy. I'm recovering from my operation, so time enough to paint . I did some dwarf rangers first. |

Wish you recover fast mate and nice job on the dwarves! A little piece of advice, when you drybrush, try to wipe your brush a bit more so there's not too much paint left, in this pic the middle uruk's chainmail is very good, but the other two are a bit flooded with paint.. Maybe washing them with a bit badab black would bring a bit of black paint into the recesses, but I'm not 100% sure.. Keep it up! Reto wrote: And the first 10 uruk-hai, 5with sword and shield

Reto wrote: And the first 10 uruk-hai, 5with sword and shield Thanks for the advice, but I bought those uruk-hai second hand. Some of them where already painted. I resprayed them, to paint again. I don't think that i used to much paint here, but the details faided away with so many layers of paint. Or it could also be my mistake |

Or it could also be my mistake Argh, I had bought some Uruks second hand aswell and they had superglue all over the chainmail killing all the detail.. Lots of layers (of just a few thick ones) can have the same result and then it's almost impossible to paint them I'm envy about your signed Rulebook |

Didn't noticed before, you're from Leuven (: Too bad about the chainmail though.. you could always use dettol to strip the models, you can buy it in any pharmacy, it's in a bottle, just let the mini's soak for a while, make 'em clean with an old toothbrush and let them soak in water, to get all the dettol off. (make sure to wear those plastic gloves, the paint that comes of is very sticky, and the dettol might annoy your skin a little). That way you can re-paint the models with all the details remaining! |

Nice uruks, really like them! But maybe give the captain a wash? He looks kind of very bright, or it could be the camera, you used flash or not? 'cause the other Uruks look darker to me. |

Thanks all, once again it has been a while. But I'me really back into the hobby. I've been painting for some time now, trying to reduce a massive backlog about 270+ models , partly thanks to the hobbit. Recently painted the fellowship: The mouth of Sauron: |
