Today I'm restarting the hobby.
WARNING, first post is text heavy!
After more then a year not painting LOTR miniatures and gaming I have decided that I have to restart.
My health didn't improve the last year, it deteriorated.
Gaming stopped completely and I stopped painting LOTR Miniatures. (I did paint some WHF miniatures and a lot of 40k [Imperial guard and Blood Angels])
Anyways, I can ramble and ramble about last year, but the point is, as you can guess, I'm restarting the LOTR hobby.
This means, stripping paint, painting miniatures, convert, buying, selling etc. etc.
This WIP is meant to show you my progress, and to keep me motivated to continue the hobby (at least the painting and modelling part, not the gaming part
)
I decided to sell my Moria army, 100+ goblins, balrog, 3 trolls, and much more.
My
Gondor army will get a reboot, repaint my warriors of Minas-Tirith, my knights of Dol-Amroth and the rest.
I wanted to type everything I have.. but that took so much time.. and I won't bore you with all the miniatures I have.
And to keep a very long story short, My first army to be repainted are the Uruk-Hai, Last Alliance and the Grey Company.
My Uruk army is not that big, 24 scouts, 30 armoured warriors, couple of heroes/captains, siege crew/engineers and uruks with crossbow.
Oh.. and not to forget my Wargs, 18 Wargs with riders, and 12 wild wargs with a Chieftain.
The second army, my Grey Company exists out of, yes you have guessed right, rangers
This army isn't that big also; 6 Rangers of the North (dunedain), 10 Rangers of Gondor, 16 rangers with spear, 16 rangers with bow, 16 rangers with swords.
The heroes for this army are; Elladan and Elrohir, Halbarad (with flag) and Aragorn.
Also, not to forget, 20 warriors of the dead and the king of the dead.
The third army to reboot, is smaller than the rest, A small force of the Last Alliance.
12 Elves with bow, 12 elves with swords, 12 elves with spear and shield.
Elrond, Glorfndel, Cirdan and Erestor.
8 Men of numenor, 1 men of numenor with spear and 1 with bow.
And Elendil.
That should keep me occupied for the coming months, after these 3 armies my Easterlings are next, then my Khandish warriors and last but not least my Gondor army, which is really huge.
As I said, it is text heavy and I don't have any pictures for now.
As soon as I have stripped the miniatures of paint I will update.
Also I want to expand my painting skills, and I want to continue with blending. (tips and tricks are very welcome!)
My next update will be in a few days, when, as I said, the miniatures are stripped of paint.
For those interested, I'm stripping them with Dettol.
It works great!
