I remember these! Welcome to the One-Ring. The dwarves could use a wash or two. If washes are hard to come by, then add water to the paint to make your own wash. I think the ratio is 2:1 water to paint. I'm not sure. Test it on a test model before you use it on the painted ones. Good luck on your work! |

I really love your Balin! As far as the Crossbow conversion goes, I love the idea, and the model looks like a good choice - however, the crossbow itself is rather large, and looks a little out of scale. EDIT: The bases on those Rohirrim look cool as well. |

Thanks! Glad you like it, sorry about the poor pic quality its getting dark over here in ireland and i had to put the flash on, which just makes everything look shiny and terrible! Yea I was hoping that the rather large size of that xbow was all just in my head! I have so many of these xbows too, theyre from an empire handgunner kit! |

Thanks! To be honest that fort is still in the exact same stage as it was when I took that photo! Found some real nice bits of wood that would make great parapets the other day though so I may have another crack at it! on that note, does anyone know of a good place to bulk buy grey model paint? And what glue is best to stick wood to polystyrene ? Super or pva? |
