Well other than leaving a post to say hello this is my first post. There is some really amazing stuff here and it is very inspiring to see everyone work. I see that Old Man Willow is here from the Hirst Arts forum and its nice to see him.

Well here are some WIP shots of the gates of Moria. I still have to buiold the Hollin gate and some other minor tidbits. Once thats all done I can get to painting. Right now other than the watcher and the ground around the pond everything is just base coated. I built this using the demensions given in an article in White Dwarf for the watcher scenario. This is still very much a WIP but I hope you like it.

Another great piece of terrain. Are you going to consolidate all your terrain onto one thread? Looking forward to some more pics.

Thanks for th nice comments guys! I Appreciate it! I will be adding the gate. I'm just figuring out how I want to do it. I am thinking of etching out the design on the door in foam and sandwiching EL sheet in between two pieces of foam. That way I can flick a switch and the pattern on the door will glow. Now its a matter of ever getting to it!

Really great work! I love the wet, slimy look to the Watcher and the murky look of the water. Fantastic!

Ah, this takes me back to when I did my Watcher. You have done a very nice job on it. I'm sure the whole scenario board will look great once its all done.

Which water product did you use? Did you use dye or stain in the resin?
Thanks. I am going to try to pour mine Sunday.

I use a two part resin called Nu-Lustre-55. Last time i bought it I got it from http://www.swingpaints.com. It's pricey but I like it because mixing is easy. No measuring just even amounts of both. Also it can be pourded several inches deep and it will still set all the way through with no problems.
I did two pours with it. The first I dyed much darker than the one on top of it. also sprinkled some green flock into the water about mid way through th setting process. This allowed the flock to sink into the resin but only a litle bit. You can't see it in the pics but up close it looks awesome because it looks like algae in the water. Here i a shot of another board I did in which the process comes thorugh in the pics better.

I used old GW inks to color the water. A dark green with a little brown.

I hope this helps!
