WOW! That looks fantastic!! The Mage-Knight Treekins remind me lots of the GW-LOTR Shades! They would fit perfect for a cheap shade aswell! hehe. Or.. a shade converting into a black hearted tree... hmm... Interesting! Looking forward to see more mate! |

I share your sentiments about Shire matters. It dates from the days that I was happily playing the Black Label ‘Fellowship of the Ring’ PC game (if you do not have the game I recommend you to get hold of a copy; just walk through the Shire and Old Forest levels, enjoy the pleasant surroundings and the accompanying music and your image of the Shire will never be the same, believe me! ). Don't get lost in that forest or we'll never see the end of it. |

I already felt like sculpting a huron of an ent, this only encourages it. Maybe it's also the bad influence of all those ents and trees i am seeing in various wip's. Hm enoying, i always get seduced by starting new projects... And no time at all lol. Nice work old man Willow. You are right that the scourcing of the shire is nice piece in the books. I really loved to read it. I started the simillarion yesterday. I love the part where the dwarfs are beging not to be smashed under that hammer. I actually wondered how u guys do those leaves? - Doesn't it come of when u touch it? |

Any particular reason why you're putting the Willow on an 80mm base? Just curious. |

Quote: Any particular reason why you're putting the Willow on an 80mm base? I used the larger base to match some of my larger trees. He is probably going to get platform shoes like Oldman Willow and the Treebeard from the 1970's I am in the middle of a Old Forest renovation. A lot of models need to be varnished flat. Most need the foliage cleaned or repaired. The D and D tee needs to be redone. All I did was drill a hole and plug a plastic tree in his head. |

This sounds like a fantastic project. You certainly have plenty of species of tree's around (including that brilliant Willow tree ) Looking forward to more progress on this. The Mage-Knights are looking pretty good, I mistook them for Shades at the beginning! Drum |

I made a trip to the railroad convention last week and picked up some need supplies.I have 50 trees to repair in this batch but I did put a dark base coat on The Birch and Willow. I did get most of the trees cleaned. They get dusty after awhile. I worked some on the watcher so that I can get him out of the way. I really want to sculpt my own treeman but I have some projects to finish up first. I am going to try to finish up the repairs over the week end. I will post photos of the willow and birch when the paint is further along. |

I would like to see that sculpt of a treeman. Maybe u can take it between ur other projects; greenstuff needs to dry anyways. So u can do like 5-10 minutes of sculpting a day. |

I just had another hard ware problem. I hope a new cpu fan will do the trick. This pc is too slow to use any more. I'll be back when the good pc is fixed or with a new one. |
