These are the first LOTR miniatures I've painted (although Ive been painting other figures for a few years now) so thought I'd share. Im painting my way through The Fellowship as I picked up all 9 miniatures plus the resin scenic base for £15 the other day. Bargain! As Im new to LOTR I haven't picked an army yet but Im just enjoying painting single minis at the moment, its a nice break from my armies from other game systems.

Gandalf's robes are absolutely ace, and everything else looks good too! :yay:

Great work all around. You've done an excellent job on Gandalf but I must say my favourite is gollum. The way the shadows make him look stretched and worn is really fitting though his mouth looks a little odd.
I would suggest having a little less contrast on aragorn's face, it just doesn't look right, but otherwise the rest of the mini has been done really well.

Nice work! I also particularly like the shading on Gandalf's robe.

Legolas looks ace, though I'd suggest making the skin a bit paler since he is an elf. :)

Good work on Legolas. Nice smooth shading and I like the dark hue of his clothing.

Thanks for the comments guys. This place is a lot friendlier than some of the other forums I frequent!
@Dwarf Lord of Erid Luin - You're right about Aragorn. The photo doesn't really do it justice but the skin tones are still weird. I think Im probably going to end up redoing the whole model to be honest as theres alot of it Im not happy with.

@Anduril Blade of Kings - Again, I think its got more to do with my lack of photography skills than anything but I suppose the flesh is a touch darker than Id normally paint an Elf. Im happy with it though so it will probably stay.

Cheers guys,
Chris

That is really nice,
Gollum is painted really good.

And the Gandalf on Cart, one of my favourite miniatures ^_^,
is really great! Especially the base.

I sense that you will be a strong competitor in the next Awards. Very good painting and basing skills there.

What is a villian? Oh, a villain... right, glad we cleared that up. More nice photos please! :yay:
