Hi i think it is time for me to start a wip.
So i have been working on a dwarven banner bearer conversion and i have come to a dilemma as this is going to be the banner of the khazad guard (for me usually durins guard) i thought i'm going to paint it a liitle differe
nt from the usual raven symbol i was thinking the hammer thingy on the west gate but i'm just wondering what you guys think would be a fitting symbol for the great dwarven king Durin.
Pics as son as i've found my camera

a hamer would indeed been nice perhaps (:
or maybe something like a mountain or a helmet-like thing? xD
or the banner i always liked for dwarves was the one of BFME2 the yellow X with blue background (: and they wear them on there back so they still got there hand weapons :D but if you would do that and give it to a khazad guard it would fit since a banner counts as 2handed weapon (:
just an idea, but i think it would look pretty nice ;)
pictures of the banner, links:

ps: if you don't use this idea, then i will ;p

greets,
Jorn.

I won't use the back banner as i have already began the conversion (i only have to the actual flag left to do)
So the problem is only the motif

They look cool but they have pretty complicated motifs and as this is the first time i freehand something i think it needs to be simpler.

well, then maybe a simple hammer and anvil, somthing like this:

(scroll a bit down and you'll find it)

or maybe something with 2 crossed axes or hammers?

just hoping to give you a nice idea... 8)

Wow, Phantom_Lord. That army you likned to, is simply stunning. It is amazingly well thoughout and executed, if my Dwarf Army turns out half as good as that I'll be a very happy man. Thank you very much, for the link. :yay:

As for the banner, the one in Phantom_Lord's link is very good. A banner like that would be stunning on the table-top.

Good luck with your army. :)

The greenstuff is not dry yet.

As far as I can see it looks really good; I like the fold in it. :yay:

If you can get a better pic that'd be great because you can't really see the raven. :)

:o HUGE picture, could you reduce it please? From what I can see it looks pretty good, is that nmm on the axe?

ya you might want to make that smaller. Would make looking at the model easier. instead of having to pan back and forth across the screen to see it. :-D
