Hi,

thanks for the comments guys! As Southern Dunedain said, the ruins are from GW boxed set "ruins of osgiliath"! The base itself is 2mm MDF, the little hill was created using real rocks collected at a lake during summer and some milliput. Painted with vallejo and GW paints! The tufts are from 'mininatur' a german manufacture, which are very realistic and high quality!

@Dorth: thanks! It took me ages to figure out how to take good pictures...the last one aren't that well framed, the ruin is too big for my standard background ;)

Saw this over on HdR. You should post the group shot too. They look great all together.

Hi guys,

thanks for the kind words! :) I have some new pictures for you! I painted up 4 Dunlending warriors which will be part of my Isengard scout army...these are wonderfull miniatures with loads of detail and a lot of character! The details make them somehow challenging to paint, but they are definately amongst my favourit LOTR miniatures-there will be more in a while, I converted the dunlending captain by swapping heads with a wild man of dunland (pictures of that tomorrow!)
I painted them in a different color scheme, because I think red might be a bit too noble for the dunlending.

I hope you like it and tell me what you think of them!

My next project to change ideas a little bit is painting up the "attack of the wargs" box with mounted Aragorn, Theoden, 2 wargs and Sharku :D

Hi,

@all: thank you! :D

@John Wayne: well not sure about that but thanks! :oops:

@garmenhord: they really are worth it! In my opinion you really should go for them! I assembled a small warband, no need to spend tons of money, but a few of them can be a great addition to your collection ;)

That's some clean crisp painting there. The colors you've chosen are just perfect for those figures. Can you post a group shot of your scout army? That would be great.
