The edge of the feathers needs to be highlighted carefully - look more closely at the eagle standing on the ground and you will see what I mean.
Every time I see bald eagles I cannot help but think of Sam the eagle from the Muppet Show.

I say the same thing about my figures sometimes. I'm my own worst critic. Just enjoy the fact that another figure is painted and ready to play.

That would be a sight, a single blue eagle among the group being overly critical about having to carry a dwarf in his monotone voice.

Well Sid, The dwarf is looking good. Those are awesome models to have, I think they feel more Tolkien then the unexpected party does. And fineline on the cloak is not easy, so you are doing fine.

You've done very well with the dwarf, only thing I would say is that I feel the cloak could do with a little more shading in the creases perhaps? Although the photo may be making it look this way. Nonetheless very good work

She may be relatively inexperienced but I think she is right, some more shading will help. Look to using thinned purple then thinned blue to help create the depth.

I really like the dwarf. You've done a great job on him. I agree the shading would simply take it up a notch. Any maybe a very very fine dusting of the lowest parts of his cloak in a dirt Brown because it'll drag as he's so short lol

Thanks Peeps! So the general opinion is more shading? Ok then, though I favour subtle over stark I'll try to pronounce the shadows a bit better in my coming paint jobs.
Another updatey type thing shall arrive shortly (today or tomorrow)

I like it a lot! I would also add that the armour plates could use a bit of lighter silver paint, just to make them pop out a bit more from the chain mail base. Don't make it a solid covering of silver, but just try to add a touch of lighter metal to what's there already.

I don't have the model. He looks like he's fun to paint!

I like the way you have done his pants and jacket. If you was to replicate that plan of shading and highlighting on he skin then I think you would be happier.
