Both are superb for batch painted mini's, though I also prefer the blue colour scheme, more pop.

As I said on FB they look great (I'm more a fan of the brown for dwarves).

What mixture of paint to glazing medium (or whatever else you use) do you mix?

If you aim for 2 parts paint, 2-3 parts water, 1 part medium you will be fine.

Nice Grimhammers - both flavours.
Have you painted any of the Instagramers yet? :)

I tend to use one part paint to 5 or 6 parts medium James to keep the glazes quite subtle. more paint can be added if you wish the colour to be stronger but only add paint in tiny quantities until you are happy with the consistency.

I love that blue on those dwarvies, was it purposefully complimentary to the browny-yellow or was that a fluke?
Top notch either way.

How do these ham grimmars compare with Khazad guard in terms of scale?

Khazad guard are a little chunkier as most metals are in comparison to the plastics but not overly so.

Hi all. Been a busy month or so with xmas and all.

Managed to get through 18 Rivendell Knights. All colours specified by the client. The colour scheme has actually grown on me the more i do it which is a surprise as at the very beginning i wasn't too sure.

Enjoy and there are a lot more pictures over on Shadow & Flame

Thanks for looking :-)

Yes please Gene take a look around the new site. Its all still very new to me and believe me i'm as much a web designer as I am the King of England so I'm still finding glitches with the site. If anyone encounters any just shoot me a PM.

Awesome knights! You painted them really awesome! Must be a shame to ship them to someone else.

They look great. Any chances of getting some close ups?

Lovely work Kev, some very nice subtle blending on the cloaks.

Excellent work on these, the one thing that always strikes me with your work is how the miniatures look like they've been plucked out of scene from the films (if you get my meaning).
