Well this was a really hard job for me. I found it very hard balancing the source lighting of the fire and making it look burnt and black at the same time.

I'll get some dwarven conversions from EFGT up soon 8)

C&C welcome

Well done Sid.
Not so well done GW. Why? The fire is too damned small. After all, the trolls were about to roast a pony. I may scratchbuild a larger fire IF I decide to get the trolls (the jury is still out on that one purely down to price).

Decided to do a couple of conversions on my dwarvies...

Image
decided to chop Dori's flail off as I dont really like double weaponed models (apart from gloin, he's pretty neat)

Image
Fili. Found this one quite hard because of such an awkward pose, I just chopped one sword off and turned the hand around to give him a 'Yar! we won!!' kinda pose :D.

Image
Nori. I felt his hair was just a bit too weird for my liking so I sculpted my own...

Image
Not really a conversion but I guessed the dwarves would want lots of water on thier journey so I gave Bofur a water bottle.

Image
Image
I spotted Dwalin had quite a cool knife on his belt and, as I wasn't a fan of his maul, I did this conversion. It involved some GS, lots of chopping and half his arm flying ou the window (but thats another story)

Image
Copied Monotone_matt's excellent conversion for this one 8)

C&C very much welcome :)

Wow Sid, I like what you've done with the Dwarves! Nice work! And you pulled off that Gandalf with aplomb, I'd even go so far as to say it's better than mine! Excellent!

No sure what an aplomb is but Thanks  :-D
Your Gandalf is still better! Without your one mine wouldn't be as it is now :)

It means 'good job' basically :P and the folds on your Gandalf's arm fit the rest of the model, mine are a bit deeper and more pronounced than the rest of the model! Nevertheless, I'm glad my conversion could inspire you and I'm even gladder that it turned out so well! Now paint him :p

I can't really say much about these as I don't really know much about the goblin town models as there aren't any elves in it and it is really too expensive for me, especially with no elves in it.

Although I do have Fili as I picked him up at my local gw for free one day

Great work

Me likes your conversions. Dwalin's pose is quite nice. Gandalf looks more realistic, though I also like the unrealistic GW version.

The campfire looks a lot of work too. 8)
