I meant the sword arm. It is a small detail, but for the best result, it might be better to fill the gap, although I am sure it will look good with the gap :P

I was going to fill it in but it may fall off in the process. Thats the problem.
But now that you mention it, I think I fill it in. I may as well try. What could possibly go wrong :) Thanks mate.

Constructive critisism is what makes these mini's look all the better. :-D

Great work Samoht. The shade will look interesting when it is all done. Sulandan's swords look great, I can't wait to see him painted.

The Shade looks very promising and I'm looking forward to seeing more of Buhrdur. Nice archer conversion too! 8)

Hi guys. Just a small update.

I have recently been repainting my Gorbag model. I have nearly finished him except for his hair and his base.

I have actually done something kinda wierd. I used the Non metalic Method, but I used it with metalic colours..... :x that make sense?

I added white to make it lighter and stuff... eerr...actually I won't bother explaining, I'll just show you guys some pics and let you see for yourself.

In my opinion it looks good.

I am quite please with the leather and skin too.

Ok picture time!

EDIT: His skin looks better in real life as it does in the pictures. Honest!

It looks pretty good. The face isn't that bad but I know what you mean about how it looks in real life. I've never noticed the fur on any other pictures, because it is normally do dark, but it does look nice. Though some of the mini could be darker, he is an orc in ash filled mordor.
I understand what you mean by NMM metallics, though you could probably just day you highlighted the metal, and it look great, especially the sword. Keep it up, and don't forget to post pictures.

Looks nice. I also like the face a lot. I wasn't sure if I liked the furry legs but upon a second look I do like it. Well done!

He looks awesome. The highlighted metal looks good, and I love the moldy, used-looking armor. and straps.

Thanks!

I am repainting some orc archers and trackers whom I painted years ago and did a pretty poor paint job on. I have converted a couple of them to give variety to the bunch.

they are currently being painted but I don't have pics of that part of the process yet so I'll just show them to you as they were a while back.

I've only got pics of the converted ones btw.

Image

Don't laugh and bad painting plz.

Here are some Feral Uruk Hai Whom will be painted with my beserker's.

Image

And here are the 'Zerkers who are in a very desperate need of a repaint.

Image

This one has been converted to have arrows in him ( a conversion done ages ago) and also to be carrying a severed head. (a recent conversion)

Image

I hope you like them!!!! :D

Great conversions. The head is really nice but the arrows need work. The orc conversions are pretty good but you may have added a little too much green stuff. I'll be waiting to see them all come together.

I like the Orc archer on the left in the first pic (the one who's reaching for an arrow), neat conversion. 8) The severed head itself looks very good but it's got extremely long hair!
Anyway, l can't wait to see how you paint the Feral Uruk-hai. :)

Would you mind telling me what exactly is wrong with the arrows?
Remember, it was done years ago.

@ King Ellesar the Uniter, The hair is very long I know, but it was a hassle to get it all together and I am pleased with how it turned out.

Thanks guys.

For the December paint off, I am painting Saruman. I am planning on painting his robes with other colours as described in - the council of Elrond chapter in The fellowship of the ring book. I have been planning on painting him like this for months but have never gotten around to it. So this seems like a good excus to do so. I won't tell you exactly what special paints I am going to use on him until I get back from my week long vacation which starts today.

So bye for now everyone. I'll see you all in a week.

The fletching on the arrows are a little bit too thick and I feel that three feathers would look better than two. I know that that is a little picky, and I am often too picky, but since you are working on the improving the rest of the mini you could touch them up as well, as your other works show that your skills have improved significantly. It isn't that necessary but it would look better. Otherwise good work so far, it will be interesting to see how they all turn and they compare with what they look like now.
