Sid - the hottest parts of the balrog will be white or very near white - you might want to tweak some areas before you start on the crusty parts of the hide.

Nice job on Saruman. I wouldn't have chosen a blue cloak myself but its very well highlighted and the facial details are excellent.

Many thanks Edge and CotWT!

Here's a bit more on Durin's Bane, I've done most of the flames and added another darker layer:

He is actually quite a bit darker the picture suggests because of the flash.

C&C welcome

Nice Saruman, liking the face not the blue though sorry. Balrog is looking fine so far. Is the black colour to come? :)

Right, finally an update! :D :D :D

PROJECT X! :D
Here's Dain (project x) whom I started a very long time ago :-D

The nearly finished green:

The finished model:

(the cloak is a bit yuk... I'm not sure how it got like that  )

As you can probably see, he is a thoroughly stripped down MoM Gimli with new clothes, beard and armour. He's meant to be Dain Ironfoot but I quite fancy using him as a Durin proxy too.

Vault wardens are finished too! :D

C&C most welcome
Thanks for reading :-D

P.S. I havent forgotten about the balrog  I'm still adding various layers to him :)

P.P.S sorry about the large post

Interesting conversion with Dain there Sid, and I really like the colour scheme. Might be nice to see a full warband of Dwarves like that.

Your Vault Wardens are also great, especially the second one. Good work :) very good work indeed. Keep it up!

Out of interest, will you be creating anymore Vault Wardens?

What did u make to shield of the vault warden out? I feel like u could have used some better material for it.
Dain looks super! I really like how u made that one and he turned out perfect! Very good conversion.

Thanks Garmy! I made the shields out of some really dense card but it came out a bit frayed on some of the edges =/ :)

No worries Sid. And a very good job of it too you've done there. I'm loving all these sculpting and converting threads at the moment. :)
