I love the thought and planning that's gone in to this. As a huge Rohan fan I will, of course, be watching this one with great interest!

Thanks all :) Here's another update. All walls erected and the veranda is added. Next step will be the roof, as I don't have the material for the planks yet.

Got to get the place weather tight before you can do the first fit ;)
Good job so far on this.

Haha, thanks again for the comments guys! It's a great motivation to read your thoughts about this little project of mine! :)

The hall should be relatively weather tight by now, although thatching still has to be done. But since I have no teddies here to slay, I will need to buy some teddy fur somewhere.. That probably will be the last step though anyway :)
So, here are some more shots about my progress:

Love it! I remember when TTT came out and there was a Puzz 3D puzzle of Edoras, my Rohirrim defended it in many games. It was foam and couldn't take much abuse though. Yours is looking sturdy and strong!

Looks really good. Nice touch with the round arches above the windows, they will be very fitting for a thatched roof.

Thank you all!
Some more progress on the hall: The construction itself is complete, details and some ornaments were added to the roof beams. Unfortunately I had cut the round arches too small, so that I had to add new planks above the small windows. with the thatching added though, it shouldnt be visible.
I also made the wooden stairs to the veranda and a small wooden cart for scenic purpose :)
Enjoy and let me know what you think!

(Sorry for the Gondorian, I had no Rohirrim at hand at the moment and wanted to add a mini for scale comparison :) )

That looks great. Rohan houses always look good, there is no such thing as a flaw since weather and other elements (orcs being one) take tolls on these rustic homes.

I really like that - it is a bit more upmarket that the average Rohan detached home. Maybe the desirable residence of one of the Royal Guard?

Another small update. I'm not so sure about the "sloopy" terrain any longer.. what do you think? should I add a bit of "terrain" around the base of the building, or leave it flat as it is?
Gaps in the stonework or between it an the house will be filled btw, so dont worry about that :)
And @Dorth: I could well imagine that ;)
C&C are welcome as always!
