I did the same thing with my Gandalf's hand, although I didn't angle the wrist. I just did a straight snip and rotate. Nicely painted, as always, Josh.

I really like the blue. It helps bring out the model as a whole. 8)

Looks very good and the small adjustment to left hand's position is a nice touch for the trained eyes of the community.

Nice facial work on Gandalf. It's amazing how a small change to the angle of the hand changes the essence of the sculpt.

On Bolg's back - did you change the top armor to skin or is it just the light in the photo? How hard was he to paint? He is one of my figures in the ever growing to do pile.

on his back his shoulder blades are over lapping his armor plates he has embedded in his body (I assume that is why Azog had scars on his flesh as well from armor plates). He was not too hard, I base coat then shade, a few glazes of green in the shade as well. then return to base coat and highlight up from there,. Light tends to blur that all out as bright white, but in person it looks dirty and very orcy with a bit of transition there.
plates are a bit of trouble to pick out, on the head too, but be careful and you will get it fine.

How did you paint his skin?

The pictures are a bit blurry, but I think you nailed it. The skin is good, and his face looks spot on. I'm not a huge fan of the sculpt, but the painting is excellent! :yay:
