gonna get the other 10 painted before I break out the flock.
Also to be done for the tale are 4 palace guard. Points spare and outta rangers so in they come. I really like the models. WIP so far

made good progress on the palace guard today. Just got to paint the gloves and flesh then they can be called done

So late last night and after completely messing up legolas (and replacing him with a captain) I managed to get my 2 warbands done

I'm pleased how they came out considering I was winging the scheme from the start. And the captain is ok considering she went from NoS to painted with 2 hours.

So I have month 2 'off' (already at 500pts) but that doesnt mean no painting :no:

Lots and lots of wargies and hunter orcs to be painted.

Cheers guys. Very productive day today, got my Captain of Dale completed aswell.

Also got 3 fell wargs painted but I'll wait until I have done the rest before I post pictures.

Great looking Elf force, really like the scheme you've used for the Palace Guard. I also like the metal work on the Cpt. of Dale, nicely done.

Seeing a substantial army all painted well and nicely based is a magnificent thing to behold. And the more I see of the Mirkwood varieties, the more I like them. Very nicely done.
The Dale captain's shield is very striking - looks like burnished pewter.

Good looking Elves, and Guards they blend together really well and look really good in the group shot!

The captain looks good too! Although with the lighting it looks kinda like his top of his head is shadowed and I can't see it very well, but it looks good from what I can tell!

Just out of curiosity, which blues did you use on the Captain of Dale?

I used regal blue, null oil wash and highlighted with enchanted blue.

Been painting a fair amount of stuff, finishing off armies etc. But the reason for this update is to reveal Beorn is all his bear (and man) glory.

The man has been done for a while but the bear I finished the morning. I think it came out alright.

I know I'm a little late on it but that Captain of Dale's shield is magnificent, well done on the whole model.
And Beorn looks quite good too, I like the yellow eyes with the dark fur. It just adds some malevolence to the model
