This is the first collaboration piece between Dave Fredericks and myself under the new business name of Shadow & Flame. Rather fitting that it is Shadow & Flame himself Gothmog the Lord of Balrogs. I really had to work hard on this guy as I only really put any paint on it 3 days ago to try and finish in time for the Painting Challenge. The client has okay'd the pics so I can now move on with the next project...... more elves lol

That is such a beautiful piece. You have such an eye for color and mr Bear has such amazing skill at sculpting.

A seriously fabulous sculpt, and a superb paintjob to finish off a thoroughly stunning monument to creativity. Well done guys, and CG has earned the envy of the entire community... I wager there will be a lot of couches being checked for loose change, and piggy-banks being raided. Shadow and Flame could get VERY busy....

Its been a while huh? I have so many projects going on at the same time its nice to actually finish something. I will be getting some better pics of these two in due course but couldn't resist putting them up.

Hope you like them. Better pics to follow. Too much light in the current pics has totally destroyed the NMM effect on the swords : (

They look great Kev, excellent pattern on Legolas clothing. My only concern is there eyes look too dark, Legolas in particular. I'm hoping it's an issue with the photography.

It does look a little like Legolas has been at the makeup drawer with his eyes in these photos however the freehand on his clothes, though subtle, adds so much the the miniature. As usual the work on the bases is second to none.

Well I'm certainly no expert but I'm pretty sure in the movie Legolas has much darker eyebrows than his hair (much like Saruman) which is probably why Kev has done them that way. With that in mind he looks just fine to me.
