Hoy! Have you guys been highjacking my WIP thread? :no:

Anyway, I'm no big fan of Werewolves that wear clothes or use weapons, even if they are pshycological werewolves. My favourite are the ones that turn into 'normal' wolves, they reason I did upright ones is because GW declared them infantry.

If the reason behind the clothes is to cover up man-parts, well there are other methods, or they could leave it as plain as the Mumak, and Morathi the Dark Elf.

No problem 8) And there was no problem with showing us the Werewolf, (it was the 8 posts after that).

By the way, (now I'm doing it), are you in a trade with Dezartfox?

Speaking of the cats, I have taken a few close-ups but they're very poor, if anyone really wants to see them I'l post tomorrow.

So first up I'd like to show you some items i've made with the aid of instant mold and green stuff. These are Black Guard shields and Black Numenorean shields and helmets. I've made more than one mold of each item and, as you can see, some of the molds have come out better than others;

I've also started to convert some Uruk-hai into Black Guards by adding mail skkirts, however I will do the Blcak Numenoreans in full before I go bak to these;

And, I would like to ask you if the Great Beast looks okay or stupid in these two pics, the first is with an oversized rock, and the second with a well. I just want to know if you guys think any of these look okay or ridiculous and I shoiuld stick to just the corpses?

I love the WOMT conversions. I guess you will replace the shields too? As for the beasts try a more angular rock. You need something sharp looking. The well would work great it you cover the rest of the base with sand and ruble. Maybe a broken column.

the greenstuff work looks good on those helmets. About the beast, i think it could all depend on the rest of the base. At first tought i wouldn't go for the well, but then again - if he is walking in a gondorian city or somehting why not?

If I'm honest I wouldn't go for either. The well looks too big relative to the beast (not much you can do about that) and the rock I think is too heavy for the base (some smaller ones made from foam could work though). If it was me (unlikely as I don't particularly like the model and don't like finecast either) I'd try to do it relatively simply. Base the whole thing in sand and then add some corpses, weapons e.t.c. Bit like the Mumakil base. If you want something more unique then perhaps try to sculpt an abandoned camp fire or something like that so that you have control over the scale.

Sorry GTW didn't eve see the question re. rock or well. Its difficult to tell which would be better suited to the model as the rest of the base is empty. In my opinion tho i would say the rock is a little too large and kind of steals your attention away from the great beast (if that is at all possible lol). The well on the other hand is interesting, although it does look quite large it is a pretty unique piece of scenery ad is quite low to the ground so would not divert too much attention away from the rest of the model. Once you have added sand, flock and maybe a few small stones to break up the rest of the base i think the well could look pretty good on there.

The helmets and the shields are a huge success. 8) The mail skirts is a good idea but you will have to work on them a lot more.
I would take Dead Marsh Spectre advice on the Beast but nothing you have done looks stupid.

For help sculpting chainmail, check out these videos, part 1 is oversized for you to see, part 2 is on a figure:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxtlYyiqX5o
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Hs64H3KpTM&feature=relmfu

I have a tool smaller than his, but the principal is the same :)

I like your Black Numenorian heads. well done.
