Here is a pic of the Beech Ent in better light:

Image

I've also finished converting a Linden Ent to a more aggresive pose for battling:
Image

Here it is next to the original version. I went for a slightly browner paint scheme this time around:

So that joins the converted Birch that I did a while back:

Image

So including Treebeard I now have 5 different Ent variants. Four more to sculpt. Fir,Ash,Oak and Rowan.

In the meantime I've doubled up on some and have 9 Ents painted:

Phew! Looking forward to painting Cave Trolls in February.

I need to get to work on mine.

You only need 18 more for Odovacars Bolger's Promenade.

they look excellent.
maybe try to paint the remaining four a bit darker so you get a very nice variety.
I love the way you did the bases, they ar very detailed.

The Birch Ent on the far left of the bottom pic is now on Ebay for anyone interested.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :MESELX:IT

This was the original model I sculpted back in 2007 (as featured in the sculpting article: kb.php?a=122 ) before I was persuaded to resculpt a similar one to start up Majestic Bear Miniatures by the online community.

The ents look amazing! I love them! The dragon looks pretty awesome too, especially the base. I can't wait to see the trolls finished.

Hey, nice work on the dead rider :) Would you like any more? ;)

I did a bit of a conversion too, last year. I'd better finish it some time...

I just love your line-up of ents. They look great! :yay:

I have a mounted king of the dead and 4 riders on the conversion table but I don't think I'll need any more than that.

Anyhow, here's an update on the cave trolls:

Nice work. I'm feeling the urge to pick up a paint brush again; I've a few Mordor trolls that need finishing off (bring on the archers).

Bah, don't mention Mordor Trolls. I've somehow managed to accumulate 13 of them!

Now, trolls vs. ents?
I think trolls were originally evil ents. That does sound like fun.

I'll probably put the 5 mordor trolls together to go with the 8 I already have made and undercoated. I quite like the Trolls v Ents idea so I'll probably tackle them.

Very very cool. 8)

Although you've given yourself a number of projects to work on, I would love to see some more scratch sculpting. Perhaps I should make a friendly 'donation' to MBM

Lookking forward to seeing this stuff develop!
