I received my order from Thomarillon. I wanted to see the water wheel. The halfling facades and the whiskey tank looked interesting too.



The water wheel will save me some time if I decide to use it.

I am going to make some custom bases. I should be able to use the rollers for terrain.

I have not been able to work on the mill as much as I like. I have been building a 16' display for the new game store. I do not have photos. I am still at the stud wall stage and hope I can have the drywall up and taped by friday.

I have been hesitant to buy the new thinner molds from Hirst Arts - have you had any problems with it?

You will need a top quality material.I have had good luck with Hydrostone. I cast a few thin until I got used to it. Hydrostone is very strong and hard cast even thin.



The bottom section of bricks are thin. the top course doesn't quite match. I will glue the thin cast to the blank side before I attach the wall.



I cut out the spokes with a drill saw. I should have used a dremel router saw bit instead.

I have been working on Tables for the new game store. I have to trim ten tables tomorrow. Nothing ever goes to plain. My table saw wore out in the middle of building a new taper Jig.The ironic thing is that none of the old jigs will work with the new table saw. I finished putting it together a few minutes ago. My table saw was so old I could not use many/most of the new accessories. I am going to be happy with the new table saw even though it is almost completely plastic.It most likly will not last as long as the olds one. It will most likely out last me.
Mike and Kirk have been making a complete new set of terrain for the new store.They have enough for five of the ten 4' by 6' tables. I will make a couple of hundred trees when I finish with the cabinet making. Kirk took my advice and flocked cake decoration trees for the smaller scales. I will base another gross of them too.



The texture rollers worked out well. I purchased some more brown and black oven baked clay. I have 20MM and 25MM cutters so I can make round bases very fast.

Up date on saw. The self appointed safety police have made a simple job into a nightmare. More plastic fantastic junk

I have been making new bases for many of my models. WIP Base coat on the bases. I used the small brick texture rollers and oven baked clay. The large creatures are from Black Plague. I started them yesterday I primed about a hundred. Need to wash,with soap, the Conan box set figures next.

Saw update.
I made cross cut runners from hard wood. The new home built crosscut sled reduces the need for a zero clearance plate.

I have been experimenting with texture rollers and stamps. I discovered that the texture will transfer to coreboard if you remove one side of the paper.It will also leave a light impession on childrens craft foam.



The styrofoam/white core board foam does not form as sharp a impression as greenstuff or oven baked clay. The WIP wolf is on Craftsman brand oven baked clay.




I use rocks like pumice and this conglomerate concret block to create texture on pink foam.



The Mill project is at the point I need to work out the bridge location.
