Hi hope you guy's have all been ok :)

Ok, so I've been away from the painting and modelling side of the hobby for a while after the tragic loss of my fellow LotR gamer, I kinda lost the motivation for a bit. But I'm back now and to start with I've finished the Amon Sul project that had been on the back burner for sometime, I just followed the instruction in the FotR Journey Book... I'm hoping to finish of the 4 Barrows which are also part finished soon :)

Anyway more stuff will start to come soon as I pick up where I left off.

As always please let me know what you think, your comments are always welcome....

Nice work! and cool twilight frodo! i saw some in a dutch store once. (will u paint the ruins darker or will u keep them this light?)

The Weathertop ruins look great but maybe a bit unfinished. Somehow they look like having been cleaned up, maybe adding some more gravel, rubble and scatter would look good on them? Your Aragorn looks really nice!

As always, I like following your journey. Mine is a bit stopped at the moment since I took a small detour to Angmar but I hope to continue with this FotR project too.

Great to see you back and at 'er. Right now the flock looks a little out of place and the whole thing looks too clean, but other than that it looks great. :D

Well once you get going it's pretty easy, I guess. I did want to add more detail to it but thought the more detail on the model the less playable it will be, making it hard to move the miniatures around the ruins....

I'm looking forward to playing the two scenarios based around Amon Sul now :)

Hey there, may I suggest that you try using dark greens and dark brown instead of black. The latter is useful for 'burned' effects, but won't keep the 'natural' look as well as the first two.

This was lovely to stumble across as i'm starting my own Journey at the moment. Very heartening to see i'm not the only person who places faith in those supplements.

Aaand... a trick I learned a few years back was to get one of those string & wire trees and snip off the branches. With a liberal application of PVA ('white' glue) you can create 'creepers' and other growths on your terrain.

Good luck with your journey, there's a couple of us on the forum doing a similar thing. I'll have tp watch your progress with interest :)

Carved polystyrene which was painted with textured paint then dry brushed shades of grey. Simple :)

I have decided to add a few more feature like a collapse arch etc....

Very nice statue, only I'd give it a wash of some browns and black to bring out the detail and weather it to match it's base..with that much vegetation the statue would look more filthy. Otherwise I truly love the coloring of it!! :)
