Some nice conversions Salem. You certainly have an aptitude for putty pushing. I only have one criticism, which I only mention because you are good, and that is that the cloaks are a little bit flat. Capturing flowing cloth is an art in itself, and one that I myself still haven't perfected to the standard I would like. Resting cloth should have more folds in it, or to simulate speed, have the cloak flapping behind a little in the breeze. I appreciate that you've had to try and disguise the join between the elf cloak and Rohan rider.

Converting minis is how I started out. Now I'm doing private commisions.

Keep up the good work.

Wow, the conversions in this thread are stunning! These are easily the best Elnaith I've ever seen, they look simply splendid! All these great conversions going around are inspiring me to get to work on my own! Keep up the good work! 8)

Very nice work. :yay:

Would you mind going over your color pallet with us. I can not get my tree colors to turn out as convincing as yours.
Thanks

What all did you make the ent out of? It looks like green stuff, hot glue, and branches from the plastic ent set?

black background ,
1 step : whole figure codex grey
2 step: elements of the convex, edges fortress grey
3 step: elements of the convex, edges fortress grey + roting flesh (50+50 %)
4 step: places in different parts glaze green (highly diluted) (catahan green)
5 step: places in different parts glaze green (highly diluted) (scorpion green)
6 step: legs, hand etc. glaze various shades of brown (schorched brown, bubonic brown, beastial brown)

Great work. The painting is great but the sculpt is superb. I especially like how you've sculpted the roots. I can't wait to see it all done.

Superb!

I like that little gremlin thing with a massive spike on its head.

Such details make it look all the better.

Really nice converted Elnaiths.
Is the uncovered head rider the captain or a special character ?
