Not yet. I have just finished my exams so at last I can go back to modelling my mini's. I am currently converting all my haradrim. The Harad King and Suludan are finished. I'll be finishing that shade somewhere in the near future and i'll post pics as soon as its done.

Thanks for taking an interest :)

Well, when I made Suludan, I firstly created an armature for his body from Wire. Then for the Torso I filled it out with a bit of Greenstuff just to create the basic shape, then I added the armour on later.

So yeah wire is a good thing to use. I hope that helped.

Ask more questions if that wasn't clear or just for more help etc... .

Yay! :D :-D I have a goblin army that needs a shade so I might just attempt a sculpt, but I'm waiting to see how yours turns out before I begin. :) 8)

Hopefully it will turn out good. The good thing with a shade is that it doesn't need to be fully in proportion because it is a ghostly body.

After this one, I plan on making one that looks completely different.

Here's an update on my Haradrim.

I will show you most of the archer conversions and the finished Suludan.

Here is Suludan. His swords are really long. They are even a bit too long for him i think, and he is like 7 foot, in mini human terms. Anyway the swords look good in my opinion, and he's supposed to be a killing machine anyway.

Lets here it for Suludan!!!

Here's the converted archers.

Here's the task master. What else can I add to him. Any thoughts?

Oh yeah and here's an in focus picture of the finished Haradrim king.

Very nice minis, taskmaster is well converted (as are the archers.)
Good to see that you know your own faults (ie. the Masai Suladan) and no what to improve on next time.
Anyway, they are great sculpts and conversions, and I'm looking forward to seeing these finished and more started!

well done. 8)
I really like the taskmaster.
And the archers are simple but evective conversions.

But the chest armour and the feet of the haradrim king look a bit out of proportion.

Thanks guys.

There are many errors in the kings creation but he's my first sculpt and I think it is quite successful so I'm not worrying about it too much. I redid his chest armour. Check page 1 to see the other version.

Very nice conversions on the Haradrim, I like the poses! :yay:
And the Taskmaster is very good - perhaps you could add a few severed heads hanging from his belt?

Great work! 8)

You're quite handy with greenstuff! The taskmaster is very good, much better than GW's in my opinion, but maybe the whip could be a little longer? :) Oh yes, and is that a spike, a loop or a piece of cloth on the bottom of his mace? Suladan is awesome, I like the way the two sides of the crossguard curve different directions.

Yeah! 700 posts! :D

:-D I agree that the king and Suludan are not quite in scale but they are definitely a very good start. I like the dynamic poses of the archers, how you have captured them as they are stepping off a rock. Now get to work on the shade!  :-D

Thanks all! :D

@ King Elleser the Uniter, I was actually thinking of severed heads. I am planning on putting them on various of my haradrim warriors. I think I will actually put them on my task master.

@ Andural Blade of kings, I was thinking that the whip was a little short myself. I may lengthen it. And the thing on the bottom of his mace as a spike.

@Theavenger001, I may continue with the shade today. Depends how I feel.
:P

Ok, I have done more work on the shade. Here it is. It is yet to be completed. Many details are going to be added later.

EDIT: I'll just mention that the ripples in the shade aren't necessarily supposed to be cloth but represent its ghostly body.
And I bet some people will ask which bit is which. Well as you can see it is mainly a large ghostly body but has a normal sized body swooping from under it. This represents it as an "an amalgam of tortured spirits". Quote from GW. So it is comprised of more than one spirit. It will have arms and faces all over the big body and arms too.

Anyway, here it is. Still early stages of creation.

Here is Buhrdur who I am sculpting too.

And his head

Image

Here is the last Archer Conversion. He is probs the most complex one. The wire is to just show you where the arrow will be. (yes I know the wire is too long).

I think this is a very good conversion, considering he used to be a spearman.

He was converted from this type of spearman.

I hope you like them. Feed back is always appreciated.

wow, nice haradrim! I really like the movement you've give them, very dynamic poses.

I certainly like them! Those are great conversions and sculpts.

Maybe the Haradhrim King's left arm could be attached a little better, cause you there is a small gap between the body and the arm. But it still looks great!

Thank you.

But don't you mean the kings right arm?

That arm kept falling off so I'm going to leave it.

The gap is tiny and the picture is zoomed in heaps. It is barely noticeable.

but thanks again.
