Thank you very much everybody for your compliments, highly appreciated!
It's a week to late, but here is the
building plan for the building!MacGothmog wrote:
Every time I see your work, I feel like picking some putty and go back to do some sculpting! Every time I actually do start, I feel like banging my head against the nearest wall. Its not as easy as you make it look.
The proportions might be slightly off here and there, but theres some really nice stuff in here. And hey, even professional scultors can come up with 'gems' like the monkey twins or that old ugly Arwen miniature, wich are completely off.
That's interesting, because after seeing your entry for the painting chalenge (amazing work by the way!) I got very inspired and actually sculpted a shield and a banner!
And honestly, what you described is how I feel if I look at your painting...
Haha, the sad thing is that I would be proud of the monkey twins! Could you tell me where you see that the proportions are a bit off? Especially with the elf that would be great, because I could then change it when I work on it again, that would be lovely, thanks!
I found a small bird the other day in the bits box of a friend and immediately used it for an idea I came up with a bit earlier, a base or a mission marker for dunlendings. It is a crow sitting on a horse skull, kind of symbolic for the downfall of Rohan...
I also picked up work on a very old conversion I did, a banner bearer of the men-at-arms of Dol Amroth. The conversion must be nearly a year old, and all I did was adding a banner. I will rework the wing armour because I don't like it anymore, but otherwise it is nearly done.
This miniature is a thanks to Gandlaf for painting my berserker, and because he wanted the banner to be separate I did it:
Comments and Criticism are very welcome!
Thank you very much!
Cheers,
