What are planning on doing for the door hinges?
I really like the worn look you gave them, and once again the level of detail is stunning. :yay:

All I can say is wow, keep up the good work man. I am amazed that you have managed to stay motivated this long, I know I wouldn't have been able to 8)
Are you planning to build ships to go along with the harbour? Maybe think about adapting the board for naval battles?
Can't wait to see how this all turns out.

Wow, what an eye for detail! I love all the WIP pictures - its practically a how-to. The only thing missing is how to come up with your ideas :-D

Aaaaaalllll Righty Then!!!! Time for some progress!!

The turnament came and went and my houses were playtested..they worked fine so now i can happily continue my work..

I started the roof for the bar..

First off, glad you got some more work done on this. Second, do you have any pictures from the tourney? It would be great to see some 'in battle' pictures of the buildings. As for the progress, it looks good to me. 8)
What are you planning to use for shingles?

You are making great progress with this project.
Keep it up.
I understand the stairs dilemma, do you make them so you can put a model on them, or to look real?
I think at then end of the day, you have to put models on them, so what you have don is fine and a necessary 'abstraction'. Call it artist license ;-)

regards
Scott

Fellow gamers, i desperately need some help!!

I cant figure out what kind on roof would look good over the upper stairs and the second floor door. I want there to be some kind of roof so that you can go to the upper section of the house without getting wet...for some reason i just cant get any good ideas...i do think that what ever the solution is, the whole roof section must be in one peace so its easy to remove when you want to move your minis..

Here are pics from the stairs...

I think that this house will look ok now that the roof is shaping up...

Great work on the house, where do you get your balsa wood from by the way?

As for the roof I think it should be a sloping one to match the stairs but that it shouldn't connect to the larger roof. Just my thoughts though.
I'm sure you will think of something good. And perhaps a group photo to show how things are coming together.

Oki, whit my friends help, heres the new roof:

It looks ok in my eyes. Thats a good platform to build good roof...

And here is some groupshots:

The reason why i have had strength to continue this project is that i started all the houses together. Now when i get bored in something, i can move on to another house and work on something completely different but still make the project go on...i hope that this continues because this is just the start, the whole board is the target!!

By the way i buy my balsa from battleaccessories.com wich is pretty good store. Now its seems that the store doesnt work properly because the owner said something about moving the store somewhere else...

Great work on all of the houses, they are fantastic. The roof that you have built is what I had in mind but i didn't really explain it very well.
Shame about that store changing, I'll search around for some other stockists.
Great work on the whole.

Truely inspiring work. These buildings are coming along great, and not to mention fast! I agree that it's always good to have a relativly large project, and several smaller ones. You do get bored and feel you have to switch back & forth. Only problem then is you have heeps of projects all over the place!
