I hate to be negative with a piece so wonderfully put together, but are the steps too far apart ?
Admittedly a figure in place would help the scale but I am judging from the door - the first step is almost half way up the door ?

I remember reading that you are a modeler rather than a gamer. If you want to use the model in a game the figures have to be able to stand on the model. While scale steps look better they are useless in a game. This is a good example. I think they look like they will work well. I am sure some more detail is planned. I am looking forward to see the model finished.

Valid point Oldman Willow and sometimes I forget the gaming side - I will now go for a piece of pie called humble...

Still Gandalf you are right and those stairs are way too big for normal scale..i hate making stairs because as you can see, i like to add realistic details on my models and its always a pain in my butt to make playable models..still i'm mostly a player so i just have to deal with that..

I will post a pic with mini on the stairs so you can see what the scale is..i will do this maybe on sunday because tomorrow i have another painting project, my workroom at my house!!

I have been little busy lately but here a few new pics whit a mini so you can see the scale of the stairs...hmm, those stairs truly look big...but playability comes first..

I also noticed a huge mistake in my measurements which will affect the look of the house if i dont come up whit some resolution...you can see my mistake in this pic:

The upper window is nowhere near at the center line..huoh..this means that the whole upper section is offline..darn..

The upper section may be offline but see that as an opportunity to customise the building a bit more, adding to its character. You are doing great things with terrain!

Damn, the measurement error is in both outer wallpieces..huoh..well, have to figure out something...

Because this error gave me a good kick in to the groing i decided to do something else for a while...Merchants house!!

Its funny how new ideas raise to mind when you leave a project to the side for a moment..i started working on merchants outerstairs..yes, stairs again..=)

The idea is that there are these little storage grooves under the stairs where the merchant can storage barrels ect.

The stairs will look like they are made from bricks and i will make somekind of slate pavement from plasticard...

Criticism is welcome and if you have some great ideas in your head and you want to share those with me, let me know, i will add those to my project...

We all make mistakes but this is an simple fix. Cut a piece of form core to fit the opening. Glue it back in with a hot glue gun.White glue will work you will just have to wait longer for it to dry. Then re cut the window with a sharp razor. A little filler will cover the lines.

I like your idea for the merchants outer stair. :yay:

The way you have done the stairs with the arches and the raised platform into the building is just begging for a stream to be put in directly beneath.
As I haven't done terrain too much I'm not sure if it's too late / too awkward or wouldn't fit with the rest.
As this is for gaming it may create some interesting differences on movement ( I presume as I don't game )
It may only game a few millimeters of some still water and with some stones and a touch of paint you could create a nice little babbling brook ?

I made them from two separate pieces..little bit foam cutting, sanding and fillering..i think i like those..theres still some work to make them look good...
