So after a few weeks have passed several things have happend!
I decided to go for Gondor and Mordor instead of just Dwarfs. I purchased all the materials and miniatures (26 GW Paints, 2 GW Brushes, 2 W&N Brushes, Hobbyzone paint station, Army painter toolset, GW Chaos Black Primer). In total I have 48 Gondor soldiers, 36 Mordor soldiers. For Gondor I have several commanders such as Boromir, Faramir, Gondor captain, Gondor banner. For Mordor I have a Ringwraith, Gothmog, Troll, Grisnhak and several more. I bought them all for a good price, thats why I have so much
.
So I have a lot of painting to do, and as mentioned before this is my first time every with miniature painting. I have friend of mine is also starting on Woodelves and Uruk-Hai so we purchased everything together. I glued all the miniatures to their bases and glued arms. Today I started priming with Chaos Black GW on the Gondor army. They came out fairly decent for my first try. I used a cartbox and a stick with double sided tape on prime the miniatures. The soldiers all came out fairly nice! However, the metal heroes were a little more difficult because of all the details.
These are Boromir and Faramir. I saw that they weren't fully covered with primer. Is this a really bad thing or is just okay to paint on now? I will start with regular Gondor soldiers since they are easier to paint I guess with less details on them.
Looking forward to post more and any tips or remarks are always welcome!
