I've recently brought and large lot of painted and semi painted gondor models of ebay and i am currently touching them up so to match the rest of my army so some pretty big updates will be coming soon but in the mean time... he's a shot of my command group
Image
The Captain and Banner Bearer are the first two touched up models

Oh and finally here's the test scheme for my rangers bases on the Sons of Numenor scheme on the GW website

Enjoy

Nice models, the captain looks great. And I like the colour scheme for your Rangers - good use of red. 8)

The ranger's colour scheme is very nice though the stark contrast between the brown and the white in the hair lets the whole thing down. If you were to redo it with a base coat of codex grey followed by white or brown followed by a lighter brown it would look better.

Excellent work, I like the scheme of the ranger! :yay:

Got this guy of ebay a few months back, he had a strange blue and NNM gold scheme on the tunic so I went about reseting it back to the more traditional colours of black and white.
After grappling for about an hour with the fine white lines here is the result:
Image

yeah the white pattern still looks a bit dodgy but im not gonna spend another half hour resetting it and trying again

I like the white. Lots of work I wager but i think it sets him apart and make him more hero like. :D

Little update as I haven't done in a little while. Sorry for the bad quality pictures, I’ll try and get some better pictures up later. Anyways here is a picture of the army in varying stages of completion its grown quite large and there still lots of models which haven’t seen a lick of as it’s currently been taking a back seat to painting some random characters, which I’ll also try to get up later.
Image

Also Boromir has been joined by his brother Faramir to lead the troops of Gondor to war!
Image
And hopefully that’s the last I’ll see of stupidly small detailing on robes....

Oh wait no here some Citadel Guard I’m currently working on
Image
Complete with new palette of colours and new painting style

Anyways that will be all for today, I’m hoping to start doing some tutorials and getting some better pictures up soon.

Nice Citadel Guard! Beregond looks particularly good and I like the trim on the robes.

Boromir looks very good. The conversion is nice and lines and other details are very good. Denethor's face looks very good as well.

As promised I will now put up some better quality pictures of my recent endeavours. First up I’ll show you my girlfriend’s current force of galadhrim’s, which I’m very proud of since it’s her very first time painting minis and there rather good. But no need to take my opinion here they are...
Image
Anyways now on to my Gondorian Army. Last update I showed a test figure for my Rangers of Ithilien which I thought was a little too bright and clean for the dour and stern rangers of Gondor so below is a comparison between the old and new and the front and back of the new rangers.
ImageImage
Talking of Ithilien I’ve started working on mounted Faramir and so far I have done his trust steed, sorry for its awfulness I’ve never been very good at painting horses.
Image
Finally as a bit of a side project I’ve started painting some Warriors of Numenor and I’m very tempted to do a tutorial on how to paint these guys as the one that currently exists on the website is a bit naff in my opinion, so if anyone would like one please speak up :).
Image
One more quick thing I’ve been working trying to design some Fiefdom troops that aren’t supported by the system so here’s a quick picture of a WIP Spearman of Pelargir.
Image
Comments and Criticism appreciated as always!

A friend of mine (Carantir) would really like a guide for Warriors of Numenor

The new ranger scheme is very nice. I like the contrast between the dark brown and the light green. You've done a great job with the details, the painting of the sewing is especially good. Great conversion as well.
