Well its about time i made a WIP , I've been here long enough, i have a list of things to paint at the moment and it is taking me quite some time, so there may not be many changes when i update it.

At the moment I am finishing off my Corsairs of Umbar, only the hair and skin on a few need touching up, then I am either painting the Command Blister, Arbalesters or some Mahud.

Anyway without further ado, some pictures, I have used a slightly different colours scheme for these guys because I thought they looked a bit too dark, therefore I have replaced the Midnight blue colour with a lighter blue made from Hawk Turquoise and Regal Blue, plus many other highlights and washes.

Here is Corsair Number 1:

Number 2:

Number 3: Not very good picture here.

Number 4: Looks like Pintel out of a certain film about Pirates.

Number 5:

And finally, Group Photo:

There is still a bit of work to be done on the face and many of them need their hair painted. I know the photos aren't too good either.

Comments and feedback apreciated, thanks.

Ah it's the guy who put a pic up of his workspace. My guess was right! I said corsairs :D

They look pretty good, thought I find it hard to see them for the pictures are a bit blurred... nice colour scheme with the purple yet i think toning it down would be a good idea, for i think they would look good more dusty & battle worn.

Thanks for the feedback! :D

And yes, I may give the models a drybrush of a brown at some point, or even a light wash.

They look quite nice, though it's a bit hard to judge as the pictures are quite blury.

From what I can see they're pretty good. 8) It might not be the camera, are you using a tripod or resting the camera on something? If not the blur could be simply from your hands shaking, even if they don't seem to be shaking the littlest bit can show up big in the pictures clearness.

Thanks guys! Yes, I think i was a bit unsteady with the camera, i wasn't using a tripod either, like i said, i will try to find a better camera, I finished the hair today, but not much difference overall, so no pictures.
However i will post some tomorrow, where i will have hopefully finished the models and i will have made some attempt at painting the Tatoos on their faces.

:D

You can get a (mini) tripod for about 5-10 dollars from Ebay. The thing has three flexible legs, and stands about 10cm tall. Perfect for plonking in front of a miniature and snapping away.

Also, use the timer.

Some cameras have this mysterious autofocus which is activated by half holding down the "take picture" button for a split second before actually clicking the picture.

Though I am painfully aware that by now I need a good camera with a proper tripod if I want to continue painting and photographing miniatures.

I never looked that good at "pintel", but now I look closer he does look like him :).

A good job, although the pics are a bit blurry.

What are you going to do with the bases?
If I may suggest, try some wood looking base, like they are on a deck of a ship.

Well, i wouldn't have the first idea how to do that really, what i was planning on doing was buying some 'Dead Grass' flock from GW and putting on their bases and my Mahud to represent the savanhas of FAr Harad and also to tie them into the same army, as the light blue of my Corsairs will also be present on Mahud.
