Let me know which you prefer and why.

I prefer normal orcs, but cannot really justify them competitively against morannons.

During the run of the late edition I would have said that morannons were objectively better to bring when compared to the regular orcs. Given the present editions propensity for both more strength four from Rohan and Numenor and the defense seven from Gondor I am inclined to think otherwise. The two strengths of the morannon are the higher defense and the higher strength but both of these are not worth anything against units which have def. 5 or 7 and strength 4. I think that regular orcs have more of a competitive argument to be made in their favor now but I would not go so far as to say that the situation has been reversed to make morannons trash. That said, I have not had enough experience with the new balance to say one way or the other myself.
