Hi there. I'm currently making a fanmade topic about the SBG dwarves and I was wondering if people would cooperate a bit by giving me their opinions on the dwarven units out there. If enough people would like to fill in this list I could get a pretty good average number out of the given marks. So would people like to rate the characters below with a mark between 1 and 10? (1 being very terrible character while 10 would result into a must-have for every army). Here's an example made by myself: Click to: Show I know it's quite some work. But if people enjoy ranking the models a bit, then it would be appreciated. It's all for a fan-made project anyway. Code: Durins Folk:
Durin, King of Khazad-dûm: Mardin: Balin, son of Fundin: Dáin Ironfoot, King of Erebor: Gimli, son of Glóin: Flói Stonehand: Múrin and Drár: Dwarf Captain: Dwarf King: Shieldbearer: King's Champion: Dwarf Warrior: Dwarf Ranger: Iron Guard: Vault Warden Team: Khazâd Guard: Dwarf Ballista: Erebor: Thorin Oakenshield: Fili the Dwarf: Kili the Dwarf: Bifur the Dwarf: Bofur the Dwarf: Bombur the Dwarf: Dwalin the Dwarf: Balin the Dwarf: Oin the Dwarf: Gloin the Dwarf: Ori the Dwarf: Dori the Dwarf: Nori the Dwarf: Thror: Thrain: Captain of Erebor: Grim Hammer Captain: Warrior of Erebor: Grim Hammer: Champions of Erebor: Thorin Oakenshield, King Under the Mountain: Fili the Dwarf, Champion of Erebor: Kili the Dwarf, Champion of Erebor: Bifur the Dwarf, Champion of Erebor: Bofur the Dwarf, Champion of Erebor: Bombur the Dwarf, Champion of Erebor: Dwalin the Dwarf, Champion of Erebor: Balin the Dwarf, Champion of Erebor: Oin the Dwarf, Champion of Erebor: Gloin the Dwarf, Champion of Erebor: Ori the Dwarf, Champion of Erebor: Dori the Dwarf, Champion of Erebor: Nori the Dwarf, Champion of Erebor: |

Uhm, I you are writing something for other people to read I think that written opinions may be better than numbers. Also, a model having the same "number" as another one does not mean it is as good or as bad. For example, you gave both Ori, CoE and Mardin 5. Those two are models nobody will ever use outside of narratives game. However, Mardin has 3 might, F5 and can lead troops, something that makes him much better than Ori. Another example, the Thorins. Thorin King is good, but is more expensive than a fully equipped Thorin Oakenshield (with pony, orcrist and shield). Plus, Thorin Oakenshield can lead troops. So the question remains the same. It Thorin King just as good? Giving numbers can be confusing. |

If he would cost 400 points he would be bad. So I call Thorin good because he has various options. Maybe an unequipped Thorin would be bad, but because of his Orcrist option he becomes a lot better. It might be confusing at first, but I still believe it should be possible to rate models. |
