Pretty soon, I'm going to be playing against an Isenguard player and I'm feeling a little intimidated by that D6, F4, S4 slab of a front line. I want to try and play him using also using Isenguard so we'd be even fight but we play reasonably differently. He uses mostly Uruk Hai supported by Berserkers and usually a troll. I however use more crossbows and ferals, usually lead by Saruman or another beefy hero. The game should be between 300-500 points. How can a beat him? I've a bad feeling that the berserkers will over power my uruks and slowly eat away at anything left, even with my crossbows. The troll less so, but I don't want it to bother Saruman for too long. Any advice folk? Thanks. |

If you have cross bow's, he has to come towards you or else he will be shot down. You should shield with Uruk-Hai if they are 1v1 vs a berserker unless you have pike support. Try and immobilise his best heroes or troll with saruman |

I feel like you might run into trouble with Saruman at 300 or even 500. Thought I guess if he has a troll maybe you wont be too out numbered and you can immobilize the troll and blast away supports and stuff. I think the crossbows give you the advantage. depends on the scenario a bit and everything and a mirror match like this will be close regardless but I think your list is better. |
