I was looking at the rules for throwing weapons and it doesn't say you can throw a weapon when a warrior charges you. But it makes sense that you would hurl a spear or axe at an attacker just as much as if you were running at them and decided to throw it mid-way, maybe even more.

Maybe I missed it in the rulebook, and maybe it would unbalance the game. But I think models should be able to throw weapons at charging models just the same as if they were charging.

a model cannot throw a weapon at a charging opponent. Simply, is not your turn. You can either throw a weapon in your own shoot phase or while charging, but not in your opponent's movement phase.

Think of it like the priority roll seeing who surprises whom and steals initiative. Maybe you're taken aback at the 8 foot blood drenched orc charging at you and you don't have a chance to throw.

I play Battle Companies and have that as a skill which a hero can get as they gain experience - allowing them to shoot a bow or use a throwing weapon when an enemy charges them. They have to pay for it in points, of course.
