Post subject: | Two questions |
I have two questions both really aren't related to each but I figured I get both of them out of the way. 1. What is the best tactic for taking on Gandalf the white 2. Dose the mordor troll drummer benefit from the +3 inches added to the move phase to every won within 12 inches of him and lets say if a model starts 10 inches away from the drummer can he move out of that range and still get the +3 to his move for that turn. |

Hit him with another magic user. Preferably a nazgul on a fell beast. |

1. Get into combat with him. 2. I presume so. It seems to me to be much the same logic through which models which count as/carry banners count as in range of themselves. |

With Gandalf...Ive faced him before at a tournament....he costs a TON of points. I just swarmed and destroyed the rest of his army. Hes like almost 250 points with upgrades! You can literally have a wraith on fell beast and a warband for that. Or how about an army with average heroes and tough troops? What I played against Gandalf with was Isengard and 4 heroes that were around 60 points and a bunch of 10-12 point troops. He spent so much on Gandalf and his other forces I swarmed and conquered. Yes Gandalf smoked a couple of my heroes and stuff with magic but he had too few troops. |
