I assume it would be amazing. He would have 4 attacks on the charge.....

Id def give him the 3 might 20 will and 3 fate though to keep him alive.

The crown of Morgul is best used when he is riding a Horse in my opinion. When he rides a Fell beast, you are paying a lot of extra points just for +1 Attack. Personally though, I think it is well worth it, and turns the Witch King into one of the better Combat Wraiths.

You are getting sooo much more than one extra atk for a fell beast. Wiki on fellbeast with morgul crown is a super mobile magic user with all the new monster power attacks plus 4 atks on a charge. If you don't want to use the power atks then go for the 8 dmg dice you just got from winning your fight and knocking everyone over. He is so worth fielding. He is as awesome as you think he is.

Yes, max him out. That way you can transfix or compel those pesky heroes into the open, charge them, then eat them with your fellbeast.

I can agree with that. Ok I take that back, Morgul crown is even worth it on a fell beast. :yay:

I would not take the crown. On fellbeast it is just +1 attack (3-2=1) and if you take it on horse you could nearly take the fellbeast and bpa are better than +1A in my opinion.

Thanks for the feedback guys. In general I plan on using it with an armored horse some day.

I mean.....4 attacks on the charge and 3 standing still for a wraith? Not to be trifled with like wraiths of the past.

With the crown and fell beast it's +1 Attack but it's +2 wounding rolls as you'll be knocking nearly everything down, making it a bit better

Yeah, but I don't think you need it. Maybe it's because I'd take the Knight of Umbar in the first place (of course the Witchking is cooler themewise).
You will often attack two warriors (you should be able to kill them with 3 attacks) and throw one, or a hero you want to rend. If you rend 6 dice should work against any 2W 1F hero and the most heros with more wounds or fate have 3 attacks and therefore the Knight of Umbar has as many dice as the Witchking with crown. And he is 60 points cheaper.
(I know he does not have your staff is broken and not that good in casting, but I would prefer him).

I'm far more of a fan of the Witch King as his magic is far far better and that's why I field Wraiths

I always take the War Crown. F5 isn't great with 1 attack, but with 3 it's very nice indeed, tying even with some named Heroes. Throw in Transfix as well, and the guy can be quite the killer. Of course, you do burn Will in combat, but with the War Crown you're getting just as much for your point as using it to cast, I reckon.

On lower points there are only two or three heros worth to be bewitched so you can use 3 will to transfix them and it'll work most times. On higher points add the Undying and everything is fine ;)
But that is another discussion...
