Does anyone have any good house rules for large battles, specifically for magic users, to make them more potent and useful. I am planning to do a large Pelennor Fields and Siege of Minas Tirith game, but in a very long game with lots of turns (I plan on using a big board), I think even the most powerful magical heros will run out of will, and not really make a huge impact on the outcome of the game. I have been thinking of special rules that might combat this such as having a point that heros can withdraw to, to recover, and then come back with replenished stats. Has anyone done anything like this? Or have any advice for any other problems that come with such a big game?
