I read somewhere that using multiple spider queens is legal now because she is no longer a named hero? Is this correct? |

Pretty much, though the Moria Spider Queens are Independent Heroes and can't lead troops whilst the Mordor one can. And they cost 40pts more if you didn't know. |

wait just one second... there are no 40 point differences between the moria and mordor spiderqueen. and besides, it doesn't say that the mordor SQ is named; they're both refered to as "spider queen". |

I didn't mena there waas a 40pt difference between Mordor and Moria Spider Queens, I mean they both cost 40pts more than they used to cost. AS for the named-ness, the description on them is the closest we have to a ruling, and it indicates the Mordor one is THE Spider Queen of Dl Guldor, whilst the Moria, it mentions multiple Spider Queens. A model doesn't have to have the word 'The' or have a literal name to be a named hero. |

@gothmog i get what you mean with 40 points differents. I still think that there would have to be a "the" to make it named. |

C'mon guys let's not argue about it, there's no official ruling on it so public opinion takes precedence for me. Gothmogs logic makes perfect sense to me if it's any consolation. What wraith works well with multiple sq's/shelob? |

I think the Betrayer, because of his rule with poison, but iI don't know wich reroll rules the spider queens have. |

Actually the Betrayer is pretty useless with SQ's/Shelob, as his master of poisons rule only applies to models with the poisoned arrows, darts or blades, not SQ's/Shelobs Venom special rule. Also even if the Betrayer's rule did apply to SQ's/Shelob, it would have no effect as SQ's/shelobs rule allows them to reroll ALL failed to wound, and the Betrayer's rule only increases reroll 1's to reroll 1's and 2's. |

Okay, well, i don't have the Mordor rulebook or the Moria rulebook, so I'm pretty useless in this situations, as you can see . Hope this one IS right. Well, next time my friend uses the Betrayer in combination with his spiders I should remind him about that. Those things were killing machines! |

@mastermanje, if you friend wants something to power up the poison of his spiders, tell him to get Ashrak, as he can upgrade Spiders into re-rolling all failed to Hit rolls. @marsbar, if you want Ringwraiths for your Spider Queen(s), I'd say either go for the Undying with a supply of Budget Wraiths, or use the Shadow Lord for protection, or the Dwimmerlaik as he can prevent enemy spell caster from robbing your arachnigd of brood-summoning Will points. |

@Voiceofsauron I was recomending the betrayer because he is on fellbeast he is basically a flying, spellcasting spider queen, his master of poison rule is pants, it's his bane of kings thing that kicks butt. @Manje is your friend using the spiders with cavalry rules? Cos that also makes them very effective, but is illegal. |

Just in case, Wild Wargs aren't cavalry either. Another Wraith to go with the Spider Queens, this time for theme; how about Khamul? particularly on a Fell Beast. |

I don't think Spider Queen was ever a named hero, except as a GW Tournement houserule after someone swept the GT with 5 (?) in one army. That was in LOME, when it was over powered for only 75 points. Now that Spider Queens cost thier worth, take as many as you like. Let's not make a ruling out of a 'the' in the fluff. |
