I like the Markman's, how about a Wood Elf Sentinal Marksman?

Yes i like the Marksmen aswell, there could be profiles for lots of different factions, how about Corsair Arbalester Marksmen,(i know it doesn't sound right like that and if you were keeping it bows only then i apoligise)

Arbalest marksmen could work. I'm not sure if making a sentinel marksman would be too overpowered. 3 attacks? I know the watcher of Karna had 3 but they were only F5 and they're not invisible or able to cause terror so they would have to be terribly expensive. :o

Corsair Arbalest marksman: 45pts.

F S D A W C M W F
5/4+ 4 4 2 2 4 1 0 0

Wargear:
Carries a hand weapon, a crossbow, and a pavise.

Pavise: If a corsair arbalest marksman is not in engaged in combat, he recieves +3 defence.

Special rules:
Expert shot.

Dwarf ranger Marksman: 55pts.

F S D A W C M W F
5/3+ 4 6 2 2 5 1 0 0

Wargear:
Dwarf ranger carries a dwarf bow and an axe (hand weapon). At the additional cost, he may have the following:

exchange axe for two-handed axe Free
throwing axes 10pts.

Special rules:
Expert shot.

Wood elf sentinel marksman: 95pts.(yup, told you he'd be expensive.)

F S D A W C M W F
6/3+ 4 4 3 2 6 1 0 0

Wargear:
Carries a dagger (hand weapon) and an elf bow.

Special rules:
Enchanting song.
Expert shot.

Beorn (human): 155pts.

F S D A W C M W F
6/- 6 7 3 3 7 3 6 3

Wargear:
Beorn carries a large axe (counts as elven blade) in human form and has claws (counts as hand weapon) in bear form.

Special rules:
Terror:
Shape shifter: Beorn is not always in human form and when it is required of him, he can change form into a huge ferocious bear. To represent this, for an additional 25pts., replace the human form with his bear form. In addition, he has +1 fight value, strength, and defence.
Woodland creature.

Beorn should be way better, he pretty much single-handedly wins the Battle of the Five Armies.

Watcher in the Water: 250pts.

Head:
F S D A W C
6/- 7 7 2 5 4

Tentacle:

F S D A W C
6/- 6 4 1 1 -

Wargear:
Head has teeth (count as hand weapon) and 6 tentacles
Tentacles have, uh, themselves (count as hand weapon)

Special rules:
Terror.
Watcher in the Water: the watcher's head cannot move onto land for any reason and must obviously be deployed in water. The head has a move rate of 4". Note, the only way to slay the watcher it to kill its head.
Tentacles: the watcher's tentacles can move anywhere so long as they are not 12" from it's head (tentacles can still move on land following the restrictions). A tentacle can pass through models and control zones so long as they are in water (this represents the tentacle passing under water). If a tentacle is slain remove it from play, it does not count as a casualty (for the purpose of counting kills for breaking point). Tentacles come automatically with the watcher and do not count as troops for the purpose of counting models in the force.

You think? Where does it say that Beorn had a massive impact on the battle of five armies. Also I thought it would be silly to make him as good as treebeard as treebeard could out class him any day just because of sheer power.

If you scan back there are some good beorn profiles.

I think Beorn in BOFA just lended his massive strength and aura on the right spot at the right moment. may be he should have a rule to illustrate his wits/aura beside his strength.

I've found a quote:

"But even with the Eagles they were still outnumbered. In that last hour Beorn himself had appeared...he came alone, and in bear's shaoe; and he seemed to have grown almost to giant-size in his wrath.
The roar of his voice was like drums and guns; and he tossed wolves and goblins from his path likes straws and feathers. He fell upon their rear, and broke like a clap of thunder through their ring."

The passage goes on to say how he rescued Thorin, then returned, "his wrath redoubled, so that nothing could withstand him, and no weapon seemed to bite upon him."

He also killed Borg after he rescued Thorin, which in my opinion had a large effect on the battle as many orcs and wargs fled when Borg was slain.

Plus he crushed Bolg's bodyguard, who were able to stop to kill Thorin, Fili, Kili, and a bunch of assorted Lake-men, elves and dwarves.

Is Smoug the same as Smaug?
Or is he spelled different in other countries?
