Okay, throwing weapons are quite hard to use to their full potential-as it is hard to get the full weight of all the units carrying throwing weapons to all be directed against enough models to do significant damage, however when used correctly they can change the course of a game. (As i found out when i killed my friend's Isildur on full health with 8 spear armed WoR) So does anyone have any tactics and advice on how to use throwing weapons properly and for armies that use them heavily such as Corsairs and Rohan? Thanks. |

I don't know a lot but: Throwing Weapons are brilliant in Take and Hold as you can still move full pace and use them, which is great, as this scenario requires a lot of movement. Ill met by Moonlight is another good situation to use them in, as you get the wound bonus, but not the range penalty, and the strength value of throwing weapons means that kills are really easy. |

If you Fight is lower than or equal to your opponent's and your Strength is 3, throwing is safer than entering combat (unless you need to resque comrades or can trap enemies). Works especially well for Rohan infantry against Uruks on those turns the enemy has priority and can not react to your moves anymore. -- Pasi |

If you have for more archers than your opponent, use the throwing weapons in an attempt to dissuade the enemy from coming too close. My opponents try to stay out of the 6in range of my Dwarves throwing weapons. |

I'm not sure if this works with Rohan or Corsairs but I definetely know that it works with wood elves. If you have superior shooting (which is why this works with elves) you can always stay more than 6" away from the enemy and sit there and shoot at them and if they try to come close you can always throw your weapons in the shoot phase similar to what General Elessar said. |

Throwing weapons like shuriken, axe, kunai and needle are great tactical advantage. It just a matter of great timing and how to throw it properly. |

For good I have no fun tactics. But for evil I have a fun trick just put one model on a enemy hero and jus thow throwing weapon. Mostly I have 20 throwing weapons good enough for killing minor hero's and good enough to serious weaken strong heros. |
