Ok then guys. Just wanted to start a discussion on tactics for Nazgul on Fell Beasts. A few things to think about: - What are their strengths? How is it best to use them? - What are their weaknesses? What do you need to watch out for and keep them out the way of if you are using them? - If you had to play against one what would you do to kill it? Obviously some major strengths and weaknesses to get you started: - Ringwraiths are highly efficient at targetting enemy heroes, even more so when you put one on a Fell Beast due to more attacks. - Fell Beasts can be highly succeptable to Shooting Attacks so maybe don't charge head on at a bunch of archers. - If they get held up in fights for a few turns they will more than likely not be able to stand up to it. OK then, so anyone think of some more advanced tactics? Or anymore things to add to this list? |

Strengths - They are excellent for taking out enemy cavalry, if they win instant dismount and S3 hit. - Good for taking out spear supports - They can also be good be objective grabbing. Heroic combat can potentially take you 24" in one turn (and a heroic movement next turn will take you 12" further away) Weakness - With only a FV of 5 if an untransfixed hero gets into combat then you can find that the Fellbeast will lose combat (unless you have a combat wraith) - As you mentioned they are susceptible to shooting. - The large base means that they can get trapped easily. Thats my input - |
