Dear honored SBG community! I find myself regularly equipping my elf warriors with bows and also with spears so they can provide support when the enemy hits my first row. Sometimes when making elf army lists I have a few points to spend before I reach the point limit and I use it to buy some additonal equipment like shields or spears for my troops. In the example above sooner or later the time comes for my trusty elf bow guys when enemy arrives and they are merely 'downgraded' to beeing full-time spear supporters for fights. Now I was wondering if I could buy some shields for them in the beginning and later making them drop the bows so they receive the +1 defense for the fights. Unfortunately I only found reference in the rulebook on p. 109 where it covers light objects. And it seems to me that weapons are counting as light objects. So they can willingly be dropped. Also nothing is stated about other wargear. But I fear it is ment to be only for special scenario objectives or so. What do you think? In the community I only found an old article covering the old version of the rules. Maybe there is some FAQ or else out there? Greetings, RammasEchor |
