So I was playing in a tournament the other weekend. We were playing seize the prize, so there was an object in the middle to carry. You had to deploy 12" away from the middle where the object is.
So on the first turn both armies decided to heroic march and move to get to that object straight away. (both armies had cav)
We played it like this: 1: Opponent won priority. 2: I won Heroic move roll off 3: I moved 10" 4: opponent moved 10" then +5" for Heroic march 5: I moved 5" more for my Heroic March
Now I am sure this is wrong. Can anyone clarify how Heroic marches and moves work together?

If I remember correctly marches are resolved when the model calling it and other within range move. So the move and march would go off at the same time. Though its possible that the hero calling the move might not benefit from the march but I don't remember if that's how it went. Hope this helps.

Although heroic moves are are always done first. So if two people call one it get confusing.

Here's how it works, for the sake of my example all models are on foot:
Player A wins Priority
Both players call a Heroic March and a Heroic Move
Player B wins the Heroic roll-off
Player B measures which models are within 6" of the Heroic Moving Hero for the purposes of 'With Me', then he moves the Hero who called the Heroic Move his normal move rate. If the Second Hero who called the Heroic March is within 6 inches of the Hero who called the Heroic Move, Player B then measure which models are within 6" of the Heroic Marching Hero for the purposes of 'At the Double'. The Heroic Marching Hero could then move second (although he doesn't have to), activating the March and moving an extra 3 inches. Every other model who was within 6" of the Hero who called the Heroic Move can now move, If any of these models were also within 6" of the Hero who called the Heroic March they move an additional 9" and ensure that they finish their move within 6" of BOTH Heroes, if they were not within 6" of the Heroic Marching Hero at the start of the move then they only move 6" and must finish their move with 6" of the Heroic Moving Hero.
Player A then does exactly the same thing.
Player B then moves his remaining models. Any models who were within 6" of the Hero who Heroic Marched but more than 6" away from the Hero who Heroic Moved may now move up to 9", ensuring that they finish their move with 6" of the Hero who Heroic Marched. Any remaining models who were more than 6" away from both Heroes now move 6" as normal.
Player A then does the same.
Hope that helps!
