Alright, i'm confused! According to the latest rules are those supporting by spear considered a part of the fight or not?

They are not considerd as a part of the fight so it is possible to shoot them down and don't need to roll for hitting your teammate ( for aslong you have good sight)

The confusion about this arises form the term 'part of the fight' which is something of a misnomer as it's not especially descriptive of a particular SBG rule.

Basically, spear support models can do some things and can't do other things; they are 'part of the fight' in that they contribute attacks to the fight but they are not 'part of the fight' in that they can be shot at, they maintain their control zones, can't be struck, can't move as part of a Heroic Combat etc.

Asking if they are 'part of the fight' is fraught with problems, ask instead about the specific situation you're interested in (i.e. as Lord Elrond did with banners) and we should be able to help.
