Mirkwood rangers with spear support

Hey all,

Dunno if this has been asked yet or not buuut if my mirkwood rangers charges into two guys but is spear supported does he get plus one attack?

No, base to base as spear does not count as in the combat.

Maybe iam just dense and this is what you meant, but to clarify, I mean if my ranger is getting spear support. I read up on the ruling that the rangers don't get extra attacks for fighting models with spear support. If thats what you were answering thanks for the clarification.

Yes, they can be supported and still receive extra attacks.

Yep, if a ranger is fighting 2 enemy models and he has a friendly model supporting him with a spear he would receive 3 attacks.

Trust me I have gone up against Gondorian/Fiefdom/Easterling pike blocks, shield walls, heavily armored troops and the mirkwood rangers even without spear support usually hold their own....theyve tormented my Uruk Hai and Morannons a lot of times.

Sure they go down quickly. If you play them tactically, they are tough.
